Recently, the "remote-controlled lawn mower" independently developed by Qingdao Huaying Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. has undergone on-site testing at a large photovoltaic (PV) power station.

Tailored to address the weeding pain points of narrow spaces and complex terrain under PV panels, the equipment achieves efficient and safe operation. It fills the gap in domestic refined vegetation management equipment for PV power stations and received high praise from the power station management on the first day of its trial use.

The equipment features "precision remote control protection": equipped with a 200-meter long-distance wireless control system, operators can avoid obstacles such as PV brackets and underground cables from a safe area, preventing equipment collision damage. Thirdly, it has "intelligent height control": the cutting height can be accurately adjusted between 3-8 cm, which not only completely removes weeds and prevents weeds from shading PV panels (thus avoiding affecting power generation) but also does not damage the infrastructure under the panels.

For climbing plants such as morning glories and humulus scandens commonly found in PV areas, the equipment can effectively prevent blade jamming, further improving operational stability.

With the large-scale development of China's PV industry, "weeding under panels" has become a key link in power station operation and maintenance. The technical director of Qingdao Huaying stated that the team will subsequently develop more suitable customized models for different PV scenarios such as deserts and mountainous areas, helping new energy power stations reduce costs and increase efficiency.
