On May 13, 2025, the 4th Yangtze River Delta International Emergency Mitigation, Disaster Reduction and Rescue Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

Co-hosted by the Emergency Management Departments (Bureaus) of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui (the "Three Provinces and One Municipality") as well as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-council, the expo sets up 6 exhibition areas (covering emergency prevention and disaster reduction, comprehensive rescue equipment, emergency management achievements and technological innovation, safety protection products, safety and emergency industry services, and safety science popularization) and 2 special zones for aviation emergency rescue and water rescue. With an exhibition area of about 60,000 square meters, it has attracted more than 500 enterprises from nearly 20 countries and regions. Notably, among the various emergency-related equipment on display, remote controlled mowers for post-disaster environmental remediation—designed to clear overgrown vegetation in dangerous or hard-to-reach disaster zones and ensure unobstructed access for rescue teams—are also featured, demonstrating the expo’s comprehensiveness in covering both core rescue gear and auxiliary post-disaster recovery tools.

The expo focuses on showcasing over 3,000 cutting-edge equipment and technologies in fields like emergency rescue, smart security, and disaster prevention and mitigation, among which 120 groundbreaking innovative products are making their global or Asian debuts. "Black technologies" such as AI early warning systems, intelligent fire-fighting drones, and modular water rescue robots will play a vital role in urban safety governance, response to extreme weather, and cross-border collaborative rescue.
