Fire-Break Creation Robot Put into Service

On May 22, a newly added fire-break creation robot of the District Emergency Management Bureau was officially put into service. With its outstanding performance and intelligent control, this robot injects new vitality into forest fire prevention and extinguishing work.

On the same day, in a wasteland, emergency team members precisely controlled the fire-break creation robot using a wireless remote control. The robot moved flexibly between the wasteland and the jungle; wherever it passed, weeds and shrubs were quickly crushed and cleared, while soil covering was completed simultaneously, and a standardized fire break was rapidly formed.

According to introduction, this robot has the ability to turn 360 degrees in place, and operators can control it within a distance of 100 to 200 meters. It can easily traverse difficult-to-pass areas such as mountainous regions and swamps, solving the problem of operating in high-risk environments that are hard for manual workers to reach. It quickly clears fire site obstacles like weeds and shrubs, opens up life channels for rescue teams, and provides solid support for the fire-extinguishing strategy of "putting out fires early, in their initial stage, and completely".
Hu Yong, Commander of Changshou Detachment of Chongqing Professional Emergency Rescue Team, stated that this robot has a single operation width of 1.2 meters, can climb slopes while working on a 55-degree incline, and can push down and crush shrubs with a diameter of up to 18 centimeters, effectively improving the efficiency of forest fire prevention and extinguishing disposal.
